Job summary

Amentum is seeking an intermediate HVAC/R maintenance technician in Minnesota to respond to work orders, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility HVAC and mechanical systems in industrial and large commercial environments.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, identifying safety issues, operating ventilation systems, chillers, AHUs, pumps, and using CMMS for maintenance planning; strong communication and ability to work with customers on-site are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years HVAC/R maintenance experience in industrial/commercial environments.
• Ability to work in aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 ft.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and medical evaluation for respirator use.
• Must obtain security access badge for client location.
• US citizenship or permanent residency required for credentials; no work sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Identify safety issues and perform equipment evaluations.
• Operate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, AHUs, compressors, refrigeration.
• Utilize CMMS to schedule maintenance and document activities.
• Communicate with customers and document work performed.
• Follow safety guidelines including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with team to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
