CHENEGA MISSION OPERATIONS, LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning Mechanic to maintain, repair and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems in a commercial/industrial environment. The role requires inspection, installation, and preventive maintenance of environmental control equipment, with emphasis on energy efficiency and system reliability.

The position demands strong mechanical, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting skills, adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of direct experience maintaining commercial and/or industrial refrigeration and HVAC equipment in a military or civilian workforce.
• Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s license.
• Be deemed insurable under company policy.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and energy management systems.
• Operate, maintain, and repair air compressors, pumps, and related components.
• Diagnose repair needs and perform mechanical, plumbing, and electrical fixes.
• Maintain records for equipment and daily logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Install and replace components, valves, and ductwork as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety plans and proper PPE usage.
