The University of Alabama is seeking an HVAC Mechanic I to assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial cooling, heating, and refrigeration equipment.

The role includes inspecting systems, interpreting plans, and driving between sites. A high school diploma or HVAC certificate is required along with EPA 608 certification and a valid driver's license; background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or HVAC vocational certificate.
• EPA Section 608 HVAC Universal Certification required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and at least 19 years old at hire; driving restrictions if under 21.

Responsabilités

• Assist in operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Perform routine inspections and interpret plans/blueprints.
• Read blueprints and troubleshoot with attention to safety and quality.
• Drive from site to site as required.
