Zusammenfassung

Modern Power Systems, a Generac Industrial Distributor serving New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, seeks a skilled field service technician to repair, inspect and startup generator sets across our territory.

You will troubleshoot generators from Kohler, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo, maintain service vehicle inventory, and travel locally to support emergency calls. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of service experience with power generation equipment.
• Knowledge of power generation, light towers, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations.
• Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams.
• Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally.
• Valid driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Perform repairs and services on all makes and models of generator sets.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, services, and startup load bank test requirements on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and services generator components including alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, shutdown switches, and battery systems.
• Apply engine technical skills in inspection, disassembly, failure analysis, assembly and performance tests.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Kohler, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo.
• Maintain assigned vehicle inventory and travel locally across the service area.
• Respond to emergency service calls.
