Job summary

Armstrong World Industries, Pensacola plant, is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and instrumentation. The role requires lighting-fast problem solving on PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and power distribution equipment, with ascent and PPE readiness for high-elevation and tight-space work.

Ideal candidates hold a trade diploma or equivalent experience, with the ability to read drawings and sketches, and to coordinate with vendors

Qualifications

• Trade-specific diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to climb and work off ladders, and operate safely in high places.
• Work in uncontrolled temperature environments with appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution equipment.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and program documentation maintenance.
• Perform Variable Frequency Drive installation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot advanced operator interface equipment.
• Coordinate, update, and store plant electrical drawings.
• Operate power lift equipment as needed.
• Work a rotating shift.
