Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an Operator to support heavy equipment operation on industrial and large commercial projects in Mississippi. The role involves operating cranes and other machinery to move materials, while maintaining safe operation and daily equipment records.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of heavy equipment experience on piping or mechanical projects, with a strong understanding of piping systems and safety standards such as OSHA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience in construction (mechanical or piping projects preferred).
• Strong understanding of piping systems, plumbing codes, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate different types of equipment and cranes to move heavy materials.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance for safe operation.
• Assist in excavation, grading, backfilling, and trenching for piping installations.
• Follow safety procedures and load limits to prevent accidents or equipment damage.
• Interpret load charts, blueprints, and work orders to determine lifting needs.
• Maintain records of equipment use, inspections, and fuel logs.
