Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division is seeking a Floor Technician in Bessemer, AL at 975 Powder Plant Road. This full-time role requires experience operating floor machines and basic spill cleanup; pay starts at $15.80 per hour with $0.25 raises every 30 days during the first 90 days, reaching $16.80 within 6 months.

You will maintain hard-surface floors, operate industrial floor care equipment, clean carpets and upholstery, and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for hard floors (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning).
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Carry out maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
