Job summary

Real Alloy’s Chicago Heights facility is seeking a hands-on Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, test and maintain mobile equipment powered by internal combustion engines. You will diagnose using diagnostic tools, test fixes, and maintain hydraulic/pneumatic circuits while following OSHA and LOTO/EHS practices.

Work involves elevated areas and operating with pneumatic and electric hand tools in a heavy industry setting.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing heavy equipment with internal combustion engines.
• Ability to diagnose using diagnostic tools and perform functional testing.
• Knowledge of OSHA, LOTO and EHS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and confirm fixes with functional tests.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic circuits; repair braking systems as needed.
• Operate at elevated work areas using mobile equipment and hand tools.
• Ensure safety devices are in place and adhere to LOTO/EHS protocols.
