Job summary

Real Alloy's Chicago Heights facility is seeking a hands-on technician to install, repair, test, adjust, and service mobile equipment powered by internal combustion engines. You will diagnose using diagnostic tools and verify fixes with tests.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., plus a scheduled Saturday shift. The role offers direct hire with a structured skills training plan and a monthly incentive bonus up to $500, plus milestone retention bonuses.

When a forklift throws a code, a loader loses hydraulic pressure, or a yard truck needs a brake adjustment—are you the one people call? At Real Alloy’s Chicago Heights facility, we’re looking for a hands‑on pro who can install, repair, test, adjust, and service mobile equipment powered by internal combustion engines.

What you’ll take on

• Diagnose using pertinent diagnostic tools; confirm fixes with functional tests.


• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and resolve issues in equipment braking systems.


• Operate at elevated work areas as needed, using mobile equipment, pneumatic and electric hand tools, and jacks.


• Follow OSHA requirements for mobile equipment and verify safety devices are in place and operational.


• Apply LOTO and EHS best practices to every task.

Where you’ll work

• A heavy industry environment with high safety and quality standards.


• You’ll also learn our core process—turning aluminum scrap into molten metal and casting it into molds.

Schedule

• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., plus a scheduled shift every other fourth Saturday.

Pay, perks, and growth

• Direct hire starting at $31.78/hr with scheduled increases and a defined skills training plan.


• MONTHLY INCENTIVE BONUS: earn up to $500.00.
