Job summary

NorthStar EMS is seeking a dedicated Industrial Firefighter/Fire Protection Specialist to support the implementation, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems within an EV manufacturing facility in Blythewood, SC.

The role emphasizes fire prevention culture, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to policies and standards across Security and Fire Protection and Production operations.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, standards and regulations (NFPA, IFC).
• Ability to inspect, test and maintain fire protection equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily fire prevention and compliance inspections during construction and operations.
• Deliver training on fire protection procedures to employees and contractors; coordinate emergency drills.
• Investigate fire incidents and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with local fire protection contractors, fire departments, and responders.
