Job summary

Thermo-Trol Systems is seeking an Industrial Field Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control systems in fast-paced field environments. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and instrumentation, applying electrical, mechanical, and programming knowledge to deliver reliable solutions for our clients.

The role requires independent work, strong communication with clients, and collaboration with engineers and other technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software and programming tools.
• Knowledge of VFDs and electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test industrial control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues in automated systems.
• Interpret wiring schematics and diagrams for installation.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure integration.
• Document service activities and configurations accurately and on schedule.
• Communicate status and resolutions clearly to clients.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
• Travel to project sites as required.
