Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an Industrial Field Technician to support temporary cooling tower solutions at refineries and heavy industrial sites. You will install, configure, and maintain equipment on site, performing field installs, testing, and teardown as projects end.

You should be comfortable with manual pipe fitting, pumps and motors, and basic industrial electrical work, reading schematics, and operating lifts.

Qualifications

2–3+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial construction, refinery/petrochemical work, pipe fitting, millwright/mechanical work, industrial maintenance, pump service, field service, or similar heavy industrial environment.
Cooling tower experience is valuable but transferable skills are acceptable.
Ability to read schematics and perform basic electrical tasks.
Forklift and/or aerial lift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Significant pipe fitting, piping and hose hookup.
Installation/setup of temporary cooling tower equipment.
Pumps and motors – installation, maintenance, repair/replacement and rotation checks.
Basic industrial electrical work/troubleshooting; roughly electrician‑apprentice level.
Cooling tower equipment maintenance and inspection.
Supporting heat exchanger and chiller hookups through piping/hoses; not heavy HVAC/chiller repair.
Equipment testing and preparation.
Manual valve operation and other physically demanding field work.
Equipment teardown/decommissioning after project completion.
