Job summary

Clayton Services seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install and commission industrial equipment at customer facilities across Southwest Houston and the surrounding region.

The role balances shop and field work, requiring interpretation of schematics and delivery of service reports while maintaining safety and quality standards. Travel to customer sites is expected; direct-hire with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, military, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial equipment.
• Manufacturing, industrial, energy, oil & gas, or related industry experience preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment in both shop and field environments.
• Perform startup, installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
• Complete service reports and project documentation.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
• Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with customer safety requirements and company policies.
• Travel to customer locations as needed to support service operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
