Job summary

Texas First Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician I to provide face-to-face customer service at an off-site location in Brownsville. The role involves minor troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning a range of light and heavy industrial rental equipment.

The incumbent will model the company’s values, collaborate with internal/external resources, and pursue ongoing self-development while maintaining safety and compliance throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications

• More than one year of industrial equipment experience required; two or more years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• MSHA certification preferred
• Air conditioning certification preferred
• Crane/Rigger certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Models safety policies and adheres to company procedures and standards.
• Performs minor repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and performs repairs or reconditioning.
• Removes/install parts, disassembles/assembles basic components.
• Tests, adjusts, and verifies proper operation after repairs.
• Completes service reports and maintains customer records; may access databases.
• Operates equipment and vehicles with required licenses and certificates.
• Maintains vehicle and tools in good, safe condition.
• Keeps customers informed on job progress and timelines.
• Works overtime as needed and completes training paths.
