Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in mechanical and electronic systems; a vocational training certificate, military experience, or an associate degree preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and take accurate measurements.
• Physical ability to lift and handle weights exceeding 50 lbs.
• Pass the state Weights and Measures Exam and obtain licenses.
• Valid CDL or willingness to obtain a Class B CDL.
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; torching and welding experience a plus.
• Strong team orientation and ability to contribute to group goals and initiatives.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to continuous learning and career progression, with potential to advance to Field Service Technician Level II generally within 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site calibration and minor repairs of industrial weighing equipment.
• Install control systems and peripheral devices at customer sites.
• Work independently or in regional field service teams.
• Maintain safety standards and conduct safety training as required.
• Maintain accurate calibration reports, work orders, and service logs.
• Communicate schedules and service status with customers.
• Travel locally or regionally with senior technicians to sites.
• Identify leads for contracts and major service jobs.
