Job summary

Michelli is seeking a Field Service Technician Level I to perform on-site calibration, minor repairs, and installation of industrial weighing equipment and control systems. You will work with a regional field service team, emphasize customer relations, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities include on-site calibrations, safety reporting, and occasional after-hours support. A clear pathway for advancement to Level II is provided through a structured training program.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in mechanical and electronic systems; a vocational training certificate, military experience, or an associate degree in industrial controls is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and take accurate measurements.
• Pass the state Weights and Measures Exam and obtain necessary licenses; CDL Class B a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety training and understand industrial service business to demonstrate safe work practices.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including heavy-capacity test units.
• Perform on-site calibration, minor repairs, and installation of weighing equipment and control systems.
• Complete calibration reports, work orders, and safety documentation on-site.
• Communicate with customers regarding schedules and service status; promote products and services.
• Travel with senior technicians to customer sites locally or regionally.
