Michelli Weighing & Measurement is seeking a Field Service Technician Level I to provide on-site calibration, minor repairs, and installation of weighing equipment and control systems. The role includes on-the-job training and progression toward Level II with a strong emphasis on customer relations and safety.

Responsibilities include safe operation of company vehicles, performing site calibrations, and documenting service reports.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in mechanical and electronic systems; a vocational training certificate, military experience, or an associate degree in industrial controls is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and take accurate measurements.
• Physical ability to lift and handle weights exceeding 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass the state Weights and Measures Exam and obtain necessary licenses.
• Valid CDL or willingness to obtain a Class B CDL.
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; torching and welding experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Complete/Maintain safety training and all relevant job- and technical-related training.
• Perform all work safely, including site-specific safety training.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment, including heavy-capacity test units.
• Complete Michelli Level I training with OJT and demonstrate competency in mechanical and electronic service duties.
• Perform on-site calibrations of weighing and material handling systems, including heavy-capacity scales.
• Respond to emergency field service requests, diagnose issues and complete repairs; participate in on-call duty.
• Complete calibration test reports, work orders, safety documentation, and logs on-site.
• Maintain professional communication with customers regarding schedules and status.
• Promote Michelli products and services and generate leads and quotes.
• Collaborate with service coordinator/manager to meet productivity targets.
• Identify and report leads for contracts and major service jobs.
• Travel with senior technicians to customer sites to provide on-site service and support.
• Collaborate to meet customer expectations and productivity goals.
