Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to service high-performance strapping and wrapping equipment for major clients across the region, balancing field travel with in-office hours.

You will install equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, generating detailed service reports. A minimum of 5 years' experience is required, with a valid driver’s license and passport; forklift and PLC knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and systematic troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts.
• Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and service documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• PLC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all supported equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using structured methods.

We are currently recruiting a Field Service Technician for a leading packaging solutions distributor. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary expert on high-performance strapping and wrapping equipment—keeping critical automated lines running smoothly for major clients across the region.

Schedule & Travel Details

• Travel: Approximately 50% travel (primarily domestic/regional with occasional international possibilities).
• Office Time: Standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule at the local facility when not traveling in the field.

Key Responsibilities
