Job summary

Global Industrial in Baton Rouge seeks a skilled technician to provide outstanding customer service, inspect and repair industrial equipment, and maintain accurate records. You will dismantle parts, install repairs, and coordinate with dispatchers for scheduled PMs across locations.

A high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and clean driving record are expected. Candidates should be detail oriented, safety conscious, and able to work independently in various environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; good mechanical aptitude/skills.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit who operates business within the framework of each customer’s business structure.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service while inspecting machines to locate malfunctions.
• Discuss machine operation variations with customers to diagnose problems.
• Dismantle, replace worn parts and install repaired components.
• Organize and plan follow-up repairs with dispatcher.
• Maintain records and submit parts orders and paperwork via tech portal/ERP.
• Ensure safety and PMs at multiple locations as needed.
