Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply, a SunSource company, seeks an Account Manager (Field / Outside Sales) to promote industrial supplies to core and target accounts in the St. Louis, MO metropolitan area.

Role requires daily customer visits, order taking and relationship building, with potential overnight travel. Requirements include 1+ year outside sales experience, HS Diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (business, marketing, sales, mechanical, engineering or similar).
• 1+ years of industrial outside sales experience required.
• Experience in hydraulic hose, industrial hose, safety products, general MRO and related lines preferred.
• Mining customer experience is a plus.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan market opportunities within core and target accounts in territory.
• Promote product lines with branch managers and personnel.
• Develop action plans to capture core/target business.
• Call on and visit customer sites daily; take orders and build relationships.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control on stock levels and obsolete inventory.
