Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is seeking a Field Engineer for an industrial solutions provider. You will visit customer facilities, assess equipment, and collaborate with Sales and fellow Field Engineers to implement tailored technical solutions.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, fluid, and industrial systems, create CAD drawings, BOMs, and P&IDs, and support installations and commissioning. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or related field, 3–7+ years in industrial engineering, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–7+ years of engineering or technical experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience in semiconductor, oil and gas, paper, manufacturing, or general industrial applications.
• AutoCAD experience required, including creating and interpreting drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work directly with customers.
• Willingness to travel to customer facilities and work in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer facilities to assess equipment, processes, and systems for improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Field Engineers to create customized technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, fluid, and industrial systems and propose improvements.
• Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD; prepare BOMs and P&IDs.
• Provide technical support during inspections, installations, testing, and commissioning.
• Document site visits and project activity; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams on technical questions and product concerns.
• Stay current with industry practices, equipment, and safety standards.
