Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Summer 2027 student intern for our Industrial Facilities Engineering and Design team. You will work alongside experienced staff to create construction documents and specifications for mechanical systems in industrial facilities.

You will gain hands-on experience, contribute to HVAC design tasks, and develop skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling while pursuing a B.S. in mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD or other 3D modeling tools.
• HVAC design coursework or experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC).
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating construction documents and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers on design tasks for mechanical systems.
• Contribute to HVAC design work, ventilation and process cooling.
• Participate in site placements in Lincoln, Omaha, or Des Moines.
