Job summary

Thermon is seeking an Estimator in Houston, TX to analyze proposals and prepare cost estimates for insulation materials and heat tracing systems across the US and LAM region.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, strong Excel skills, and experience in industrial estimating. You will develop BOMs, review client specifications, and collaborate with sales, design, and construction teams to produce competitive, accurate proposals.

Responsibilities

• Estimate project costs based on project requirements and collaborate with sales and construction teams
• Analyze documents from customer requests for quotes and prepare proposals
• Prepare BOMs for Thermon projects based on cost estimates
• Coordinate with regional estimating and sales teams to produce accurate proposals
• Input cost data into Thermon's Standard Estimating Template (SET)
• Read and interpret customer specifications and ensure bid philosophies are communicated
• Maintain project files and document all estimates accurately
