Job summary

Capstone Mechanical seeks an Estimator to analyze blueprints, specifications, and documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for HVAC projects in Texas. This role supports pre-construction efforts and ensures pricing data remains current.

Responsibilities include preparing ductwork and piping takeoffs using QuickPen, computing cost factors, and assisting bids with project managers. Strong MS Office and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or substantial related experience acceptable.
• Minimum of four years’ experience as an Estimator for HVACR contracting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Perform itemized takeoffs for ductwork, piping and plumbing using QuickPen.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, bids and scheduling.
• Update labor and pricing tables in QuickPen and maintain pricing database.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and managers to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Assist in bid day proposal preparation and ensure backup estimator coverage.
