Job summary

You will review specifications and drawings, build labor and material estimates, obtain supplier pricing, and analyze historical data to inform timely proposal decisions. Collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years estimating, cost analysis, manufacturing, engineering, proposal support, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, and related documentation.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate labor, material, supplier, and historical cost data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or cost management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications, drawings, and proposal requirements to determine project scope and estimating needs.
• Develop cost estimates for labor materials, equipment, subcontracted services, and other applicable project costs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Proposal Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and other teams to validate estimate assumptions and requirements.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze historical cost data and identify cost trends, discrepancies, and estimating risks.
• Maintain estimating documentation, cost data, and estimating tools to support accuracy and consistency.
• Support proposal development by providing timely cost information, clarification, and estimate revisions.
