Compana Pet Brands in Omaha, NE is hiring a 1st shift Industrial Equipment Technician. The role focuses on sustaining plant performance, operating a CMMS, and assisting with equipment fabrication and installation.

Expect physical work, ladder use, and occasional weekend coverage to meet business needs. The position requires 3–5 years in maintenance, knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, PLC/HMI/VFD experience, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college or trade-related accreditation preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or packaging.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with automated packaging systems using PLCs, HMIs and VFDs.
• Able to operate and maintain forklift certification.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights; bend, twist and stand long hours.
• English language comprehension for written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve plant operating performance by identifying root causes of downtime.
• Operate and maintain the CMMS effectively.
• Assist with fabrication, modification and installation of production equipment.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in safe working order.
• Record issues, parts used, and labor hours for tasks.
• Support production supervisors with equipment operation training and safety.
