Job summary

You will read work orders, diagnose issues, perform repairs, document work, and communicate with customers. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 1–3 months related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read, write, and speak clearly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe truck in operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Propose solutions and provide estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis of breakdowns.
• Record complete repair details on work orders with model, serial number and hour meter readings.
• Obtain customer signatures and communicate needs or completed work.
• Inspect guards, loose bolts and safety devices; make necessary adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive the repaired truck to verify conformity to specifications.
• Represent Equipment Depot professionally and maintain van cleanliness at all times.
• Submit time cards daily and coordinate with service administrator when dispatched.
