Job summary

Equipment Depot is hiring a Field Technician to repair electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment. You will read work orders, diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, document details, and ensure safety checks are completed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Strong customer communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training, or an education/experience combo.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and listen to the truck to diagnose issues.
• Propose solutions and provide estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Record repair details with model, serial number and hours.
• Communicate with customers about needs and completed work.
• Inspect guards, bolts and safety devices; make adjustments.
• Lubricate parts and drive the repaired truck to verify specs.
• Represent Equipment Depot professionally to customers.
• Coordinate with operations or service manager for maintenance schedules.
• Submit time cards daily before 9:00 a.m.
