Job summary

Olin is seeking a General Machinist for its East Alton, IL location. The role is hourly with a shift of Straight Afternoon. You will troubleshoot, repair, and machine parts using manual lathes/mills and adhere to lockout/tagout safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Two-year related degree with two years’ general machinist experience.
• Or four years of recent related general machinist heavy industrial/maintenance experience.
• Four-year related general machinist apprenticeship certification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and disassemble/reassemble machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Machine parts as needed.
• Assist with process improvement and initiate change.
• Use a variety of hand tools and manual lathes/mills.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and PPE.
