Job summary

CORE Linen Services is seeking a maintenance technician to handle scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a commercial laundry plant. You will monitor equipment, perform preventive maintenance, address jams, belt issues, and tape problems, and seek engineering assistance as needed.

Responsibilities include completing maintenance and repairs on overhead rails, conveyors, and other machinery, maintaining logs, and communicating status to supervisors to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must be team oriented and able to function individually or with team.
• Must be self-motivated, independent, prompt, and able to handle tasks as they present themselves.
• Solid communication skills.
• Must understand safety procedures including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance activities on equipment as scheduled.
• Ensures timely and quality completion of all maintenance and repairs, including overhead rail system and conveyor systems.
• Assists technical and mechanical personnel including outside vendors as needed.
• Maintains the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete tasks and new problems.
• Notifies Production Supervisors on the status of any equipment that will impact production or cause down time and when back online.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
