Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Painter Technician to prepare parts for painting and apply automotive-grade epoxy coatings to assemblies, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires reading and interpreting instructions, accurate measurements, and proficient use of paint equipment.

The position emphasizes teamwork with engineering and manufacturing to troubleshoot paint systems, manage material levels, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency preferred or equivalent experience.
• 6 months–5 years of painting experience with automotive-grade epoxy paints.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, work instructions, UL standards and directions.
• Proficient computer entry and database use.
• Knowledge of measurement tools and tape measures.
• Basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and assemblies for painting following safety and quality standards.
• Mix primers and topcoats and apply paint to parts and assemblies.
• Inspect wet and dry paint thickness to ensure life expectancy and quality.
• Maintain and troubleshoot paint guns, pumps, and booths; disassemble/reassemble guns as needed.
• Operate forklift to move large components; communicate shortages or equipment needs to supervisor.
• Keep work area organized and compliant with safety rules and NCR tracking.
