Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Painter Technician to prepare parts and assemblies for painting in a manufacturing environment. You will mix primers/topcoats and apply coatings to meet quality standards while adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires experience with automotive epoxy paints, ability to read English, operate forklifts, and troubleshoot paint equipment. A strong attention to detail and good teamwork are essential in this active facility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency preferred; a mix of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
• 6 months–5 years of painting experience; automotive-grade, three-part epoxy paint application on small to large assemblies.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, work instructions, UL standards, and written directions.
• Ability to use a computer and enter information into a database.
• Knowledge of measurement tools and tape measures.
• Mathematical ability to work with basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prime parts and assemblies for painting.
• Mix and apply primer and topcoat to company quality and safety standards.
• Inspect wet and dry paint thickness to ensure durability and paint life.
• Maintain and troubleshoot paint guns, pumps, and booth systems.
• Ensure safe work practices and keep neat, organized work areas.
• Communicate with supervisors and peers about material shortages and equipment needs.
• Operate forklifts to move large components as required.
• Follow paint storage, waste disposal, and clean-up guidelines.
