Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer Section Manager to lead and develop a team of engineers in Tucson, AZ. You will drive throughput, lean transformations, and modeling efforts across multiple programs and sites.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities, manage resource plans, and deliver data-driven updates to senior leadership while advancing IE practices within the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10 years of experience, or 8 years with a master’s degree.
• Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, and Process Optimization.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams to achieve measurable results.
• Experience working in a large government contractor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers (≈12), including hiring, staffing, goal setting, coaching and evaluations.
• Provide mentorship, career development, and training opportunities.
• Oversee IE project planning to improve manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Develop and track key performance metrics and indicators.
• Lead Lean transformation initiatives and factory modeling using CAD layouts and simulations.
• Prepare data-driven updates to senior leadership and influence project roadmaps.
