Job summary

Raytheon seeks an Industrial Engineer in Tucson to maximize throughput, map processes, and drive continuous improvement across the Effectors factories. You will lead line balancing, capacity planning, and layout projects to deliver value while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams, the use of Lean/Six Sigma methods, and strategic planning for new products and technologies. Onsite work with security clearances is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years with a Master’s.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial/Systems/Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government security clearance.
• ATF clearance requirement.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value-stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to improve efficiency and meet cost/quality/throughput goals.
• Influence and lead factory roadmaps and investment strategies with infrastructure proposals and new product integration.
• Influence cross-functional teams to address obsolescence and growth.
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
