Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Area Transformation Industrial Engineer to support production in Tucson, AZ, maximizing throughput and improving efficiency across the Effectors portfolio. You will analyze labor performance, map value streams, balance lines, and plan capacity while applying Lean and Six Sigma to drive measurable improvements.

Work with project managers and factory teams to optimize layouts, support proposals, and extend manufacturing capabilities in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 5 years of relevant experience unless a Master’s degree applies.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Factory Industrial Engineers to create predictable manufacturing systems.
• Analyze manufacturing performance to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Calculate resource utilization and throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean to meet cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
• Create process flows, value stream maps, Pareto charts, and CAD drawings.
• Support strategic roadmaps for capacity, technology insertion, and facility upgrades.
