RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an Industrial Engineering intern/co-op to support manufacturing processes, manage layouts, and study cost control and productivity improvements. You will review quality and producibility risks and collaborate with design teams to implement mitigations, while handling moderately sized projects and daily challenges.

Travel to local regional sites may be required. The role offers hands-on training in SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, eView, PDM, and engineering drawings

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM major through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments. Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

What You Will Do
  • Support manufacturing processes by managing equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, work instructions, procedures, and workflows.

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Strong background in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
