Job summary

Kinetic Vision is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-op to support consulting projects focused on manufacturing, operations, and supply chain improvement. You will work alongside engineers, project leaders, and technical specialists to help clients understand their operations and implement practical solutions.

This role offers hands-on experience with real client challenges across diverse facilities, industries, and technologies, while developing methods, data analysis, and visual tools.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Available to work full time during the assigned co-op term.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in manufacturing, facility operations, process improvement, or supply chain optimization.
• Ability to organize information and communicate findings clearly.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel to client facilities when project work requires it.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze operational, production, and facility data.
• Support time studies, capacity analyses, workflow evaluations, and process observations.
• Create process maps, value stream maps, facility layouts, and other visual tools.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with manufacturing, warehouse, and supply chain optimization projects.
• Organize and evaluate information gathered through facility scans, photographs, video, interviews, and on-site observations.
• Support the development of dashboards, reports, presentations, and client recommendations.
• Assist with evaluating alternative layouts, workflows, staffing approaches, or operational scenarios.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, project leaders, and other technical specialists.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate progress, findings, and questions.
• Document methods, assumptions, results, and recommended next steps.
• Follow client and Kinetic Vision safety, confidentiality, and quality requirements.
