  • Available to work full time during the assigned co-op term.

  • Interest in manufacturing, facility operations, process improvement, or supply chain optimization.
  • Ability to organize information and communicate findings clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze operational, production, and facility data.
  • Support time studies, capacity analyses, workflow evaluations, and process observations.
  • Create process maps, value stream maps, facility layouts, and other visual tools.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with manufacturing, warehouse, and supply chain optimization projects.
  • Organize and evaluate information gathered through facility scans, photographs, video, interviews, and on-site observations.
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, presentations, and client recommendations.
  • Assist with evaluating alternative layouts, workflows, staffing approaches, or operational scenarios.

Position Overview


Kinetic Vision is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-op to support consulting projects focused on manufacturing, operations, and supply chain improvement. In this role, you will work alongside engineers, project leaders, and technical specialists to help clients better understand their operations, identify opportunities, and implement practical solutions.


This position provides hands-on experience with real client challenges and exposure to a variety of facilities, industries, technologies, and project teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, comfortable working with data, and interested in understanding how people, equipment, materials, and information move through an operation.


Responsibilities


Collect and analyze operational, production, and facility data


Support time studies, capacity analyses, workflow evaluations, and process observations


Create process maps, value stream maps, facility layouts, and other visual tools


Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement


Assist with manufacturing, warehouse, and supply chain optimization projects


Organize and evaluate information gathered through facility scans, photographs, video, interviews, and on-site observations


Support the development of dashboards, reports, presentations, and client recommendations


Assist with evaluating alternative layouts, workflows, staffing approaches, or operational scenarios


Collaborate with engineers, developers, project leaders, and other technical specialists

Qualifications


Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Systems Engineering, or a related field


Available to work full time during the assigned co-op term

Interest in manufacturing, facility operations, process improvement, or supply chain optimization

Preferred Experience


Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:


Process mapping, time studies, capacity planning, or facility layout


Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or continuous improvement


Data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI


AutoCAD or other layout and modeling software


Statistical analysis, simulation, optimization, or programming


Manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations


LiDAR, reality capture, digital twins, or spatial data
