Job summary

Entegris is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-Op for the Spring 2027 season at our Bedford, MA site. The 6-month assignment will support optimization of manufacturing and materials processes in a high-tech production environment.

You will collaborate with Industrial Engineers, Production Managers, and Process Engineers, performing time studies, capacity modeling, and data visualization to drive improvements. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma concepts and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with or willingness to use Microsoft Copilot and AI productivity tools.

Responsibilities

The Role:

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

As an Industrial Engineer Co-Op at Entegris, you will support initiatives to optimize manufacturing and materials processes within a high-tech production environment.

What You'll Do:

• The Industrial Engineering Co-Op will work alongside Industrial Engineers, Productionmanagers and Process Engineers to support projects of high importance.
• Evaluate current processes and identify improvements opportunities.
• Conduct time studies and develop capacity models for critical equipment's and processes.
• Support daily Gemba walks and improve our SOPs.
• Assist with maintaining and updating master data in SAP.
• Participate in projects aimed at reducing cycle time, scrap and improving productivity.
• Use Power BI, Excel, Copilot to build visualization dashboards to translate data into actionable insights.

What We Seek:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
• Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with or willingness to leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to diverse team environments and organizational cultures.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date December 2027 - May 2029

Eligibility:

• Must be a currently enrolled student
• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
• Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
• Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing and able to comply with clean room gowning requirements and work in a clean room manufacturing environment as required to support project activities.
