Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize supply chain operations in George, Western Cape. This role focuses on logistics, inventory management, and distribution networks to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

You will map current supply chains, identify inefficiencies, and design scalable solutions while collaborating with procurement, sales, and operations. A degree and 4 years’ experience are required; a hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, SCM, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain analysis or operations.
• Experience with inventory management, warehousing, and transportation planning.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and map the entire supply chain from procurement to final delivery, KPI for improvement.
• Develop strategies for inventory control, warehouse management, and transportation optimization.
• Design and evaluate network configurations and routes to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales and operations for integration and responsiveness.
• Use data analytics to forecast demand, manage stock, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Implement technology solutions and process improvements to enhance visibility and efficiency.
