Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quonset, RI is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive production-line optimization and site-wide material flow. The role blends plant-level design with cross-functional project leadership to ensure operations scale smoothly as programs grow.

You will own factory layouts, drive continuous improvement, and deploy capital equipment while coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams. A US Secret clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a rate manufacturing environment with complex assemblies.
• Experience using real operational data to influence decisions.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Proven line/facility design: value stream mapping and flow.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read drawings and understand hardware processes across electronics/mechanical.
• Knowledge of material flow including Kanban and MIN MAX.
• Experience modeling operations with discrete event simulation.
• Experience with MES/ERP (Oracle or equivalent).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IE standards and capabilities to Quonset's production lines (capacity planning, labor standards, time studies, layouts, DES).
• Deploy across lines as a shared resource; collaborate with Manufacturing leads.
• Own site-level factory layout and material flow; optimize receiving, storage, lineside, and shared services.
• Specify and justify capital equipment; support vendor selection and production readiness.
• Lead cross-functional projects for 3SI; scope, schedule, and drive site infrastructure and processes.
• Own operations health metrics and KPIs; build tools and reports.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive resolution with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality.
