Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quonset, RI is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations and own site-level factory layouts as part of the 3SI team. The role blends line-level support with a site-wide remit, ensuring efficient material flow and capital equipment decisions.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Factory Services to scale processes, reduce bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements across the facility, aligning with program needs

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a rate manufacturing environment with complex assemblies.
• Experience using real operational data to drive decisions.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Value stream mapping, continuous/one-piece flow, and workstation design.
• Lean manufacturing principles/implementation.
• Read drawings and vendor schematics; understand hardware processes across electronics and mechanics.
• Knowledge of material flow, Kanban, MIN/MAX concepts.
• Discrete event simulation experience.
• Working knowledge of MES/ERP systems (Oracle or equivalent).
• Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IE standards: capacity planning, labor standards, time studies, layouts, and DES.
• Deploy as shared resource across lines; scope and deliver work with Manufacturing leads.
• Own site-level factory layout and material flow, optimize movement between receiving, storage, lineside, and shared services.
• Specify and justify capital equipment; support vendor selection, installation, and qualification to production readiness.
• Lead cross-functional projects for site infrastructure and process improvements.
• Own operations health KPIs; build tools and reports for line and site health.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive resolution with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality.
