Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to support the Columbus plant within the ANSC Nutrition Supply Chain. You will analyze production performance, drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and lead data-driven improvements across manufacturing operations.

The role involves mentoring Green Belt teams, coordinating Kaizen events, and ensuring the accuracy of performance metrics while supporting MOS and capital/ CIP projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma; experience with SEEQ; proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report metrics for all plant production areas.
• Develop and maintain annual plant OEE, distress, and scrap data.
• Support site Operational Excellence efforts and MOS initiatives.
• Analyze operations to recommend business process improvements.
• Coach Green Belt teams on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Facilitate project charters and Kaizen events with internal/external customers.
• Apply PDCA, A3 problem solving, and Why-Why to drive improvements.
• Provide Capital and CIP project support affecting material loss, labor, or throughput.
• Oversee employee idea programs and sustain quality system effectiveness.
• Ensure accuracy of plant performance metrics and labor/material standards.
• Drive change management for key site initiatives.
