Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on production process improvement to join the Queenstown, MD manufacturing team. The role aims to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all production activities.

You will identify bottlenecks, apply lean tools like Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping, and design standardized work to improve overall performance. You will also monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in production process analysis and improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and performance measurement.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
• Design and standardize work procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow and establish realistic production standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement process changes and provide necessary training.
• Monitor KPIs related to production efficiency, quality, and cost, and report on findings.
