Sanmina Corporation, a leading EMS provider in Houston, seeks an Industrial Engineer / Project Coordinator for a plant expansion. You will coordinate equipment installations, track timelines, and manage vendor schedules while supporting engineers during high workload periods.

The role focuses on data analysis, cost tracking, and process improvements on the factory floor. You will use Oracle ERP and MES for data entry, perform time studies to refine costs, and create clear reports for management.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or heavy assembly plant (internships or co-op experience count).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing cost structures, labor routing steps, material waste tracking, and cost variances (standard vs. actual).
• Ability to work well with different people, from shop-floor operators to external contractors and senior managers.
• Able to explain technical updates, project delays, and financial data clearly, both out loud and in writing.
• Comfortable changing priorities quickly to help out where the plant needs it most.

Mansioni

• Coordinate equipment installations with suppliers and contractors on the plant floor.
• Track project timelines and manage vendor schedules.
• Use Oracle ERP and MES to enter production routes, audit labor hours, and maintain data accuracy.
• Conduct time studies to compute cycle times and help set standard labor and machine costs.
• Analyze scrap, waste, and rework to reduce lost profitability on the floor.
• Monitor machine downtime and capacity to improve overall efficiency.
• Create process flowcharts and value stream maps using Visio.
• Prepare status reports and decks for management and customers.
• Support Engineering Change Notices and update PFMEAs and SOPs.
