The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. What You'll Do

• As an Industrial Engineer, you will be the architect of clarity in our manufacturing operations. You will develop a detailed capacity model of our factory, audit processes against real-world performance, uncover hidden inefficiencies, and design solutions that unlock productivity gains. Your work will directly influence production schedules, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction thus making you a key driver of operational excellence.
• Catalog factory equipment and personnel to establish available capacity
• Develop a comprehensive factory capacity model that accurately reflects current and projected production capabilities and resource utilization
• Audit manufacturing processes, comparing planned vs. actual performance to identify discrepancies in cycle times, labor allocation, and equipment usage
• Map process flows to pinpoint gaps, bottlenecks, and redundancies across production lines and develop solutions to relieve them
• Prepare clear, visual reports and presentations that translate technical findings into actionable insights for management
• Collaborate with production managers, quality engineers, and supply chain teams to design data-driven improvement plans
• Support cost estimation by accurately forecasting capacity availability

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Requires 2-5 years' related work experience.
• Proven experience in capacity modeling and process auditing within a manufacturing environment
• Fabrication experience with expertise in sheet metal processes including cutting, punching, stamping, bending, welding, painting, powder coating and hardware insertion
• Experience incorporating data from Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in capacity audits
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process mapping methodologies
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment

At Sanmina, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $80,000 and $97,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
