Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Industrial Engineer - Productivity and Efficiency for a renewable energy client in Upington, Northern Cape. You will analyze production and project execution processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements to boost productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities include time and motion studies, KPI monitoring, SOP development, cross-functional collaboration, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Minitab).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production and project execution processes to identify opportunities for productivity gains and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement process improvements, workflow optimizations, and efficiency enhancement strategies.
• Utilize data analysis and modeling techniques to measure current performance and predict the impact of proposed changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs and best practice guidelines.
• Monitor KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization; report progress and challenges.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize manual tasks and assembly processes.
• Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on new processes and improvement initiatives.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
