Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize production planning and control at its East London, Eastern Cape facility. You will analyze scheduling, inventory, and resource allocation to improve efficiency and responsiveness, and implement advanced planning techniques and ERP/MES enhancements to ensure smooth production flow.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial engineering focusing on production planning, scheduling, and control systems.
• Experience with MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Proficiency in Excel, Minitab for data analysis.
• Experience with production simulation software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a hybrid environment.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze current production planning and control processes to identify bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing scheduling, MRP, and capacity planning.
• Improve inventory accuracy and reduce carrying costs at East London facility.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics for integrated planning.
• Use simulation and modeling to evaluate planning scenarios.
• Support selection and implementation of advanced planning software or ERP/MES enhancements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for production planning and control.
• Monitor KPIs like on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory turns.
• Provide training to planning and operations on new systems and methodologies.
• Align production plans with sales forecasts and customer demand across Eastern Cape operations.
