Atlas Fibre is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Industrial Engineer to optimize precision machining and related processes. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Manufacturing Engineering to elevate work readiness, ERP accuracy, and visual control from order release to shipment.

The role emphasizes establishing standard work, reducing setups, and sustaining 6S across production areas, with hands-on shop-floor responsibility and emphasis on measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a CNC machining environment.
• Experience with 6S, standard work, SMED and material flow.
• ERP/MRP software experience.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or related) preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Institutionalize 6S across production areas and sustain it with leadership and cell support.
• Author and maintain standard work governing production flow, setup, kitting, material movement, handoffs, and repeatability.
• Drive setup reduction (SMED) and improve time-based measurements to baseline setup, wait, and queue times.
• Operate within ERP to safeguard order status, labor reporting, routing fidelity, inventory movements, and execution tracking.
