Job summary

Ace Precision Machining Corporation seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements across our shop floor. You will collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to deliver measurable gains in efficiency, quality, and delivery in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

The role requires a BS in engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience and proficiency in SolidWorks. Epicor ERP experience and Lean/Six Sigma know-how are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks or similar software).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies with the ability to apply statistical techniques in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing solutions that improve efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Partner with production, quality, sales, and engineering teams to support complex aerospace and defense manufacturing programs.
  • Develop, improve, and validate manufacturing processes using sound engineering principles, statistical analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Lead and support improvement projects, managing timelines, priorities, and deliverables using project management tools.
  • Evaluate process performance using data and statistical methods to identify variation, risk, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, work instructions, sketches, and process changes.
  • Design complex routings and manufacturing sketches that meet customer specifications and internal standards.
  • Support production and quality teams by dispositioning nonconforming product and determining rework or corrective actions.
  • Communicate project status and recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Document technical decisions and process changes with accuracy and clarity
